Anchor AIMS GAMES International

The Anchor AIMS Games is the largest intermediate aged tournament in the Southern Hemisphere. It is important to have international students at the Anchor AIMS Games as it shows that sport is a universal language. Education New Zealand says these types of tournaments prepare students for a global world and helps develop global citizenship and an understanding of different cultures and different ways of living.

At Alert Level 1 we all need to be ready in case Covid-19 reappears in our community.

The impacts of COVID-19 continue to be substantial across the world, the health and safety of our participants, supporters, volunteers, and contractors remain our number one priority.

Due to the current Covid-19 situation, the AIMS Games Trust, have made the tough decision to close off entries to international athletes for the 2021 Anchor AIMS Games School Sporting Championships.

We would like to thank you for your interest in our event and apologise for the disruption this has placed on your plans and training.
