Entries to the 2025 Zespri AIMS Games must be submitted online through the online registration system.
Registrations will only be accepted from the school's designated Zespri AIMS Games Coordinator.
Schools are allocated a unique Zespri AIMS Games registration log in code to complete their entries.
Competitors must be over 10 years of age and under 13 years of age, as at 31st December the year before the tournament year. Competitor’s birthdates will be required on school registration documentation. For the 2025 Zespri AIMS Games, the eligible birth years are 2012, 2013, and 2014.

If registration for an age category is oversubscribed, then the opportunity to participate will be at the discretion of the executive committee, with Surfing NZ and local Board Riders Club rankings taken into consideration, as well as participant numbers per school (if unsuccessful the registration fee will be refunded).
All competitors must be affiliated with their local Board Rider’s Club.
It is expected that all competitors compete in a minimum of two surfing events at a local level prior to competing at the 2025 Zespri AIMS Games. Acceptance of competitors who do not meet these requirements is at the discretion of the organising committee.
Students may compete in more than one sporting code, provided they are in line with the permitted code crossovers.
Timetable allowances will not be made for any competitors, and it is the sole responsibility of the school to check for programming conflicts.

There is no limit on the number of students schools can enter.
Each competitor will compete in a minimum of two rounds (5 heats in each).
Maximum 10 waves per surfer in each heat.
Top two wave scores combine to give total heat score.
Surfers with the highest combined score totals across the two heats progress to semi finals and finals.
Competitors must surf within the arena flags.
The top three place getters in each division will be presented with their medals at the conclusion of the finals.
